Bio
Dr. Battaglino is a Professor and Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the UMN Medical School. Together with Dr. Morse, he established and co-directs the Rehabilitation Medicine Translational Research Laboratory. He is an internationally recognized molecular biologist and expert in bone biology and gene and biomarker discovery. Dr. Battaglino has worked for more than 15 years in animal models of SCI, as well as cohort-based studies in SCI. Dr. Battaglino is serves as the Director of Research for the MN Regional SCIMS and the Principal Investigator of the site-specific study Brivaracetam to Reduce Neuropathic Pain in Chronic SCI: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trial.
