Remember how I said in my last message we were going to call one Wisconsin Senator per week to support our bill? Well, things have picked up speed and now we need to call these three Senators this week.
Remember: it doesn't matter what state or country you live in. What matters is that we raise the profile of this bill by letting these Senators know that people are paying attention!
When you contact these Senators, you can say the following:
"Please support our Spinal Cord Injury Research Grant Bill (SB99) - which now includes the Jacque Amendment preventing the use of embryonic stem cells. This amendment was added by your Republican colleague, André Jacque, who now supports SB99!"
Don't let the small fear of awkwardness prevent you from calling - you can always call after hours and leave a message. Having these Senators and their staff hear your personal messages is just as effective, and sometimes takes the pressure off calling during business hours.
As always, please share this message with anyone you know. Ask them to call and email these Senators in support of SB99 - no matter where they live!
