Glad You Came!
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page. If you are here, it's likely that you have freshly acquired a spinal cord injury, you just found out about U2FP, or both. Spinal cord injury is kind of a big deal and you probably have a million questions. I hope that U2FP can help to answer some of these questions.
U2FP exists to speed up the pace of functional recovery to our community. Said another way, we want to be able to go to the bathroom again on our own, we want to feel our skin again to prevent pressure sores and because it feels nice!
We want to get rid of the torture that is neuropathic pain. We want to breathe better and control our blood pressure and temperature again on our own. We want to have sex again, walk again and ultimately regain all the things we lost. And we don’t believe that this is too much to ask for.
Our evil plan to accomplish the above is to influence, support and speed up SCI Science by making sure our voice is part of that conversation. This is the jist of our advocacy strategy, and it informs how we support and empower the SCI community through education.
Sincerely,
Jason Stoffer, CureCast host / CAN Manager
