Poster Session Open Call and More - U2FP's 20th Annual Symposium

Matthew Rodreick

U2FP’s 20th Annual Science & Advocacy Symposium is happening on February 15 - 17, 2026 in Washington, D.C. and we’re excited to once again announce the inclusion of a poster session at this year’s conference!

Poster Session Call
We’re looking forward to another great poster session at this year’s symposium in Washington, D.C. and we want to encourage all scientists and trainees to apply to present their latest research.

If you are a scientist or trainee in the SCI field and would like to present your work at our Symposium this coming February, please click on the "Poster Session Application" button above. You’ll be taken to an application form where you can submit your proposed presentation details. We’ll be reviewing these Poster Session Application forms on a rolling basis through December 19, 2025 (all applicants will hear back no later than January 9, 2026).

The large number of persons with lived experience at our Symposium makes it a excellent place to showcase your work. You’ll get real-time interactions from individuals who stand to benefit directly from your research, as well as feedback from top researchers, scientists and clinicians in the SCI field.

We look forward to highlighting the work of scientists, clinicians and researchers while exposing them to the voice of the SCI community. As with the last two years, I know the posters will enrich the experience of everyone in attendance.

Roll on the Capital
In addition to our usual slate of presentations from top tier SCI Scientists and Advocates, we’ll also be launching our Cure Advocacy Network’s national legislative campaign. We’re organizing a third day of action as we Roll on the Capital and meet with legislators and their staff to demand an increase in spinal cord injury research dollars. We’ll be providing a more in-depth description of this event soon, but rest assured that it is meant for everyone. No advocacy or lobbying experience is necessary to join us on this critical third day - we need your voice and perspective, so join us!

Agenda
This year’s agenda is structured specifically to help guide us from reflection to action. We’ll start off with Where We’ve Been (session 1) looking back at the last 20 years to find out What We’ve Learned (Session 2) so that we can then assess Where We Are (Session 3 & 4) - both from a scientific and industry perspective -  in order to address What Needs to Change (Session 5) and determine Where Are We Going (Session 6) and How Do We Get There Together (Session 7).

You can check out the Agenda page of our website to see who’s speaking when, as well as view our list of confirmed Speakers, with their bios and abstracts set to be posted soon.
