The Show Must Go On

Matthew Rodreick

Last night's Rock to Restore SCI Research concert was truly a special event. I wish everyone reading this could have been there to experience it. Those that were in attendance told me over and over how moved they were by the performances and the atmosphere generated by everyone present.

Toward's the end of the night, halfway through Freaque's performance, a good segment of the room was dancing with abandon, rocking out to that feeling of liberation and community.

Let's keep that energy rolling through the weekend. Our Virtual Auction is still live through tomorrow, Sunday, June 22nd at 5pm CST. If you haven't, you can register for the auction and/or bid on items through tomorrow evening, no matter where you are!

You'll have a shot at some great gear, unique art, an accessible vacation home, adventure packages, and more! Better yet, every item you purchase will benefit U2FP and make an impact towards preserving SCI research.

Your contributions are already making a difference. I'll be updating you soon on some very encouraging news about SCI research funding that was preserved here in Minnesota, thanks to your support and U2FP's organizing efforts.

But there's still more good work to be defended and expanded, both at the federal and state level. And U2FP is working every day to ensure your priorities as SCI community members are heard in all of the places where functional recovery research is happening.

You can help us keep up this important work by participating in this weekend's ongoing Virtual Auction and/or making a donation. My sincere thanks to so many of you who have donated to this event and support our ongoing work.

Let's keep it rolling!

PS - We'll be sharing more photos and video from the event soon, including some insightful remarks by Dr. Murray Blackmore, an SCI researcher and Cole Sydnor, an SCI advocate.
