New Digs
Matthew Rodreick
We wanted to let you know that our website, u2fp.org, just got a design refresh. The updated design now meets a higher level of ADA accessibility to make it easier for visitors of all abilities to engage with our work.
We’ll be making modest updates and tweaks to different pages over the next few weeks, but the location and navigation of our offerings haven’t changed significantly.
While we are excited about the new look, feel, and accessibility of our website, we want you to know we are continuing to look for ways to improve our website to better serve our community. If you have specific suggestions, please feel free to respond to this email with content ideas, style templates or other updates you'd like to see us make.
And then consider making a year-end gift to U2FP! As we close out 2025, U2FP has risen to the challenges the year has brought:
- responding to SCIRP cuts by directly lobbying federal legislators
- recruiting the largest number of wheelers ever to the Twin Cities Marathon (the first marathon to allow e-assist wheelers, thanks to our advocacy efforts!)
- preserving $5M in the MN SCI/TBI research grant program from proposed cuts
And consider that we do all this on a shoe-string budget (less than $500k in annual revenue). In return, we leverage millions of dollars a year for functional recovery research overseen by the SCI community, along with creating multiple opportunities for you to learn, advocate and help accelerate translational therapies.
Your investment in our work is yielding an incredible return every year.

PS - If you haven’t already registered for our 20th Annual Symposium, now’s the best time! We are still offering 30% off during our Early Bird registration period and students, SCI individuals and their family members get an extra 50% off! We also offer a free registration for one Personal Care Assistant per attendee.
