As you probably saw in our newsletter and recent social media posts, the first registration period (where the fundraising threshold is the lowest) for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2020 concluded on December 3rd. We got a great start on registrations and are now almost half-way to filling our roster! The best news is that there's still time to join our team and make a difference for the SCI Community.
We're also ramping up planning for the Twin Cities in Motion marathon and 10-mile races, newly added this past year. I've already had a couple conversations with the organizers and we're hoping to add some perks for our Twin Cities wheelers this year.
In the spirit of team building, we're looking to plan a late-summer gathering for Team U2FP in both Chicago and the Twin Cities. Team U2FP racers can expect a motivational gathering at a local spot meant to promote team unity as well as fuel the last leg of your training. Updates on this will be forthcoming as plans are made and details become available.
Finally, remember that you can join Team U2FP anywhere, for any race. Already have a marathon you participate in? Use it as an opportunity to raise money for curative interventions for Spinal Cord Injury! We'll set you up with a fundraising page, racing shirt, and reimburse you for any entry fees after the race.
Want to find a race in your area - just use the Find a Race link on the Team U2FP page of our website.
