In their conversation, you can hear Matthew discuss the origins behind his involvement with U2FP, starting with his son Gabriel’s spinal cord injury. They talk in depth about Matthew’s foray into SCI advocacy work at the Minnesota state capitol, and how that has helped inform U2FP’s legislative initiative, our Cure Advocacy Network. Finally, Matthew describes the overarching theme of U2FP’s work, and the value of tension amongst all the people working for functional recovery.
