Providing Context and Creativity

I published an overview of some current clinical trials (Clinical Trials: Success, Promise, Prison) last Friday, December 6th, including an analysis of the recent stem cell recovery story featured on ABC's Good Morning America.

Part of my job as U2FP's Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) Director is to facilitate the services of our expert science panel for foundations wanting rigorous review of their funding proposals; I also provide context for research being conducted around the globe. I do this not only for our funders, but for all interested in therapy development in a fast moving, complex realm of neuroscience.

Keep an eye out here on our blog and Medium page for regular updates including an upcoming post on “The SCI Diet,” more clinical trials updates and interviews with SAB members.

Meanwhile, U2FP's SAB is looking to increase its funding so we can maximize our impact. We want to get creative so we can help facilitate better, faster interventions.

We're currently looking into how we can expand our funder base, and consider ways to combine a group of smaller funders into bigger grant packages.
